COMMISSION PROCESS

You can submit an inquiry to start the commission process with me in two places.

After your inquiry is submitted, you will be contacted with pricing information or information on why I feel I cannot take your commission at that time and further options.When accepted, you will receive an invite to my discord and you will be instructed to submit a ticket through my system to create a channel for communication on your project.I prefer to communicate via my discord for business after projects are accepted to keep everything organized and visible. I don't like losing customers in my DMs and I value work life separation.You will receive an invoice or a payment link to pay your balance. After your balance is paid you will be added to my queue.Within 1-2 weeks of full payment you will receive an initial rough sketch of your commission.After the rough is approved, your sketch will be cleaned up. When the cleaned sketch is approved, your project will be moved to the render stage.Rendering takes me a while, I cannot lie to you. I revise the work over and over until I feel like it looks good to me before sending it over to you for approval.Depending on the complexity of your commission, the render stage can take anywhere from a week to a few months.Every time I touch a project I send updates and turnaround screenshots. You can reach out to me any time during the commission process for updates and I will send you any and all information during work hours.When your commission is complete, you will be sent a modkit via Caspervend in Secondlife. It will include your modding materials and an unpacker full of Modify/Copy/No Transfer textures.For a time period of one week after receiving your completed texture kit, you can reach out for small revisions or fixes as you find them. After a week, your commission is zipped and archived on my external drives and no longer easily accessible. After a week, any changes are subject to a fee so really pore over your textures to see if there's anything I need to fix.I am chronically ill and this is not my only job. It is my goal not to let commissions spill over 4 months. Any and all delays will be communicated thoroughly via direct messaging or announcements in my discord server

LICENSING

◦ When commissioning custom works from me or buying from my marketplace, you are purchasing a personal use license of my works. These works are exclusive to SecondLife and not meant to be exported to other platforms unless stated otherwise.◦ If works are commissioned for use out of SecondLife (VRChat etc.) you agree that the licensing purchased is for use within those platforms for those models exclusively.◦ Your personal use license does not extend towards external usage of a pre-made design. You can feel free to ask me to re-design or re-use a publicly available design for an OC (original character) but please be mindful of the fact that other people also purchase and own usage licenses to these designs.

GENERAL

◦ You may not upload or host my texture work (source files) in any websites or galleries meant to redistribute them or generate profit.◦ You may not claim my work as your own.◦ You may ONLY use your commissioned works for personal use limited to the bounds of SecondLife unless otherwise discussed.◦ You reserve the right to print or create content (physical or digital) featuring SecondLife avatars made with your commissioned works (NOT the commissioned source textures) to publish in your personal or public galleries for profit.◦ In the case of an adoptable, you retain the rights to the character's design.◦ You are NOT authorized to change, modify, edit, use or redistribute my works without my permission.◦ You are NOT authorized to trace over my works in any way, including the use of the templates as a “base.”◦ By placing an order, you agree to these terms.◦ By commissioning me, you are purchasing my services and a personal use license to the works rendered.◦ I reserve the right to terminate our contract at any time due to circumstances that make the transaction uncomfortable for either party.

COMMISSIONS

◦ You will receive communications via discord to further your commission inquiry within 1-3 business days from submission of your inquiry.◦ Character changes at any point in the commission process move your priority to the end of the existing queue as if it were a new commission. If there is progress on your current character, you will be charged for a character change.◦ To guarantee the total accuracy of your commission request, please fill out the required details thoroughly.◦ Pricing for your quote is based on the details provided of your character. If you provide further details after your commission has been accepted and payment has been made that increase complexity of your work(s), you may be charged an additional fee proportional to the complexity of the changes.◦ Please be mindful of how your design may translate into different mediums as I will more than likely need to adjust your color palette or design slightly for 3D.◦ Before taking part in any transaction, you MUST wait for confirmation communications to discuss request details. DO NOT push payment through Ko-Fi or any other payment method prior to confirmation of your order. You WILL be refunded and blacklisted.◦ Upon confirmation of both parties you will receive an invoice for your order. Failure to pay within 48 hours OR the discussed time period will result in cancellation and permanent blacklisting. Please communicate.◦ I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT PLANS.

REVISIONS AND FEEDBACK

◦ I will send a WIP (‘work in progress’) image within 1-2 weeks of receiving payment in full.◦ These images will be submitted to the channel in my discord server created at the time that your project was accepted and you were invoiced.◦ The responsibility is on you to ensure your order contains the details you want me to follow.◦ I am not responsible for any unsatisfactory element of the finished design if no feedback was given to amend it.◦ Up to two major revisions can be made during the drafting phase of the commission. Only minor adjustments within reason can be made during the rendering phase.◦ Each time I send a WIP to a client, I expect the client to be attentive and direct in any changes they would like to be made or details I may have missed.◦ Major changes requested after the completion of a project OR major changes requested during the Render phase that were not mentioned prior are likely to incur a fee.◦ Any changes to the character or subject will be subject to a fee, and the fee will depend on the nature of the change.◦If there is a major change to your commission (you want to change to a completely different character or your character's design was changed dramatically and you would like to update your commission with said changes) your commission will be treated as a new submission and moved to the back of my queue.◦ I will not be held responsible for any changes in ownership of the said character HOWEVER I am willing to deliver the completed works to the new owner as communicated from the commissioner. If you have bought a character with an existing modkit or wish to transfer licensing to another party, you can contact me here◦ After the order is completed, minor changes such as color adjustments are allowed if the missing or inaccurate elements are my faults (e.g., I overlooked details provided in the order or on provided reference materials) for one week◦ In the absence of feedback from the customer, any changes to the final piece will be subject to a fee.◦ I will not rework a completed commission unless properly compensated.

TERMS OF USE

CUSTOM COMMISSIONED WORKS

◦ The commissioner may not redistribute or alter the provided artworks/files unless otherwise discussed.◦ Credit to me, the Artist, is preferred but not required when posting images featuring my works on social media.◦ You, the Client, are requested to be mindful and responsible with files released/sent to you.◦ Texture commissions are delivered via Secondlife in the form of pre-assembled avatar components AS WELL AS raw in-world textures with COPY/MODIFY/NO TRANSFER permissions. You are NOT permitted to alter or redistribute the completed raw files unless otherwise discussed with myself, the Artist.◦In the event that you, the customer, sell the licensing to character(s) that have corelating texture works from myself, the artist, i must be contacted to redistribute and re-allocate the licensing for use of associated texture work.◦In the event of sale to a party that is blacklisted from owning or licensing my work, distribution of my work to said party will result in immediate blacklisting.◦ Any files associated with your commission may only be available from me for a finite time. Hardware is faulty and backups aren't always 100%/ Products delivered via SecondLife are delivered via. a vendor system (Caspervend, etc.) to provide the convenience to redeliver your order at your leisure.

COMMERCIAL WORKS

◦ Commercially available modkits that are purchased in-world via. a vendor system OR via the SecondLife Marketplace are distributed in pre-assembled avatar components. Raw textures are NOT included unless stated in the product description or as necessary.◦ Redeliveries are available via. the method of purchase.◦ When purchasing a modkit via the marketplace or otherwise, you are purchasing PRE-ASSEMBLED AVATAR COMPONENTS. You are purchasing a PERSONAL USE LICENSE to these modkits.◦ You are NOT permitted to redistribute the provided avatar customization components.I cannot control whether or not you as a customer download the raw textures from your client. I can, however, recognize my work in public and I can tell when my work is edited. You are free to reach out to me directly to ask for alterations, and most of the time if they're small I'll do them for free or let you do them yourselves. If I see that my work has been ripped for dramatic edits that I never permitted, I will blacklist you.I don't value forgiveness over permission. Ask first.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Why is my head red?

You are wearing an alpha. Take it off!

Why does my hair make parts of my head see-through?

Bakes On Mesh has a constant bug where it automatically sets mesh to the texture mode "Alpha Blending". If your head's hud doesn't have a BoM toggle to fix this, you can fix it by selecting your head's faces and changing the alpha mode to "none" manually. This is easier to do with your head on the floor. I cannot help you.

Why does this modkit cost more than it did at the event?

All of my mods are discounted at the events they're featured in. Afterwards they are added to the marketplace at their full price. All prices are outlined in the product descriptions for products that were formerly featured in limited time events with limited time discounts.

Where is the mouth texture?

After the wave of heads coming with separate texture sets for mouth bags, I stopped including them in my kits. This doesn't mean I will never texture a mouth again, it just means that I know these heads come with their own textures and it's another part that would make my kits a little more expensive. There are also a ton of aftermarket textures for mouths.

Will you texture other parts for this modkit?

You can always shoot me a request for things like this, but there is a high likelihood that my answer will be no. This might change in the future, but currently my backlog is just too large to spend more time on a project than necessary.

Am I allowed to rip and alter your texturework?

I personally would prefer you didn't, but you can always shoot me a message and ask. While I understand I have little to no control over this, I still appreciate the option to say no and autonomy over my work. There are plenty of creators that welcome alterations, I personally am not comfortable with it. When I find folks in-world wearing ripped and altered versions of my textures with no prior contact or permission, I blacklist them.

Am I allowed to rip your texture and give it to my friend?

This job, no matter how little I make from it at any time, has kept me housed and has kept food in my belly. Please be real lol nothing in my marketplace costs more than four dollars. If you want to share something I made please buy it for your friends or even just message me and ask for it.
